Community Involvement

We're committed to it.

Our major community goal is to bridge the digital divide by assisting Hispanic, Native-American and African-American individuals in the field of Information Technology through internships, scholarships, and job opportunities.

VisionIT was born from the simple idea — focus on helping others and perform acts of good works in the community. As VisionIT grows, so too does the impact we can make within the communities where we live and work. We are committed to young men and women from diverse communities to assist them in choosing and building their careers in the field of Information Technology.

Wayne State University E-Commerce Camp

In cooperation with Wayne State University's School of Business Administration and Detroit Public Schools, VisionIT helps sponsor the E-Commerce Summer Camp for local high school students to participate in a 10-week educational program. The classes focus on technical, business and social skill development, with a particular emphasis on e-commerce. In addition, each student participates in a paid internship at local companies and organizations, such as VisionIT. Graduates receive a certificate of completion and a new computer system.

Second Step Program

VisionIT has a program in partnership with our clients including Ford Motor Company and EDS called Project Second Step designed to encourage young men and women of Hispanic origin to choose Information Technology as their area of study and career path.

The program includes financial support for up to 12 credit hours a semester and employment in an IT support role for our clients for up to 30 hours a week. For more information, please contact VisionIT at info@visionitinc.com.
